I am really looking forward to Photo Club this spring! This month, we were finally able to order almost everything that we need for our darkroom – photo club candy sales are really paying off! Gratefully, Mr. Mayell was able to financially assist us with the completion of the building- and maintenance-related aspects of building a safe darkroom. We are very appreciative and are working on a way to show our thanks -- Shh… It’s a secret! Also, thank you to the members who gave up a day of their spring break to come and work on the darkroom; it was a fun, productive day. This month, we will also be debuting our first, and hopefully annual, Art Exhibition. Barb at Basia’s Café has been very supportive and we are really looking forward to a great show. We hope to see you all there. Our exhibit has become a traveling one. We will be showing it again, with the addition of some exceptional art pieces at City Hall in May and again at Art on the Farm in June. Candy sales will begin again in May to close out the year with a positive balance. I have really enjoyed this past month where active members have been bringing their best work and asking which to put in the show! It has been a bit overwhelming and fatiguing as we edit the photos, but it has been a lot of fun and I know the shows will prove it to be time well-spent! May will also take us out to the BHS marquee sign where we will finish the project we started in the fall by planting some bushes and flowers. Any suggestions? Drop me a note, either in my mailbox or by email. Thanks again for all of your support! Have a great month!
Sincerely,
Kelly LaForge
