Happy March to all of our Snapshot readers! I want to start by wishing the BHS Photo Club’s Newsletter, The Snapshot, a very happy 1st birthday! How big and great you are already! The Snapshot would not be possible without its terrific Editor, Chris Wolfe. Thank you so much for your hard work, energy, passion, and dedication to making The Snapshot what it is today. Next, thank you to our many journalists for fulfilling many important roles and responsibilities. Your articles are intriguing, thought provoking, and serve a variety of interests. I (and the readers) are appreciative for your contributions and commitment to the Photo Club’s Newsletter. Last, I want to thank the readers and supporters of The Snapshot. Our goals include informing you of the latest “happenings” of our club, in addition to current news and events involving photography, art, music, theatre, travel, and more. We strive to put out a great newsletter and are always open for comments and suggestions. Keep reading and let us know if anyone else would like to be sent an edition or submit an article. Thanks again readers!
A couple brief points I wanted to touch on: The picture-taking event for the Medina Ice Fest was a success! Photo Club’s offerings of photos at the event were in high demand and proved to be fun, profitable, and, uh, cold -- brrrrr…! Candy sales, also, prove to be a good source of revenue and we will continue with candy again mid-March. Members – come pick-up candy in Art Studio 3 anytime after March 11. Congratulations to Rachel Schaffer (from the Art Enrichment Program) for selling the most candy! She wins a beautiful manual 35mm camera complements of Mrs. Costic! Nice going Rachel! Don’t forget – Wednesday, March 30 we plan to spend the day converting the old restroom to our beautiful new darkroom. This is during Spring Break, but we will be there working from 10-5; plan on attending! Photo Club will provide lunch for those who attend. Last, but certainly not least, photos, photos, photos. We need art work for the Photo Show April 22nd. At our next meeting on Wednesday, March 16, I hope to see some current work from each of you &/or generate project ideas for each of you to focus on in the coming weeks. April 22nd is coming rapidly and I am looking forward to some great work. Please bring in so that we can start mounting art work for display. Thanks to all of you for all that you do. Have a great month!
Sincerely,
Kelly LaForge
